How to Get Started with RecruitApp.ai and Zapier

Integrating RecruitApp.ai with Zapier can help you automate and streamline your recruitment processes by connecting it with thousands of other apps. To get started, you’ll need to set up your RecruitApp.ai account for integration, which includes generating an API key.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:

Step 1: Sign Up for Zapier

If you don’t already have a Zapier account, sign up at Zapier.com. Once you’ve created your account, log in and familiarize yourself with the platform.

Step 2: Log In to RecruitApp.ai

Log in to your RecruitApp.ai account.
Navigate to the Administration section of RecruitApp.ai (Note: Only administrative users can access the RecruitApp.ai administrative section and setup a Zapier integration)

Step 3: Generate an API Key in RecruitApp.ai

From the Administrative dashboard, follow these steps:

Click the Integrations Tab
Click Zapier tab at the top of the Integrations section
Click the Create Zapier API Key

Step 4: Take Note of Your API Key and Subdomain

Click the Click to Reveal Key button to copy your RecruitApp.ai Zapier API Key. By default, this key is hidden for security purposes. Do not share your key with anyone. You will only need to use it once when you create the initial connection between RecruitApp.ai and Zapier.
Take note of your RecruitApp.ai subdomain. You will need this, along with your RecruitApp.ai Zapier API Key, to connect RecruitApp.ai and Zapier.

Step 5: Setup Your Integration on Zapier.

Log into Zapier.com
Click the + Create button in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Click Zaps from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: Setup Your Zap

Click the United Zap at the top of your Zap to change the name of your integration.
Click the Trigger button and type in RecruitApp. Choose RecruitApp.ai from the list of available triggers.

Step 7: Authorize Zapier to Connect to RecruitApp.ai

Enter your RecruitApp.ai Zapier API Key that you copied in Step 4 above.
Enter your RecruitApp.ai Subdomain that you noted in Step 4 above.
Click the Yes, Continue to RecruitApp.ai to authorize your RecruitApp.ai / Zapier connection.

Step 8: Configure Your Trigger

Click the Trigger Event drop-down on the right side of the screen.
Choose the RecruitApp.ai event you wish to use as your trigger. You can view the complete list of RecruitApp.ai events and what they trigger here.
Your Account (which is listed below the Trigger Event menu option should be pre-populated. If it is not, click the Account option and select your RecruitApp.ai account.
Click the Continue button at the bottom of the dialog to go to the next step.

Step 8: Review The Sample Data From Your Selected Trigger

Zapier will pull a sample record of data from your selected trigger. Click this record of data to review the information that will be pulled into Zapier. You will be able to use these fields to map data from RecruitApp.ai to other applications you find on Zapier.
Once you review the data, click the Continue with selected record button to move on to the next step.

Step 9: Finish Your Zapier Integration

Congratulations, you have finished setting up your RecruitApp.ai trigger event. From here, you can select any one of the thousands of available applications on Zapier to complete your Zap. You will be able to easily map data from your RecruitApp.ai trigger with the applications you select for your Zap.

Track New Applicants: Automatically add new applicant data from RecruitApp.ai to a Google Sheet for easy reporting.
Team Notifications: Send notifications to your team in Slack or Microsoft Teams when new applications are received.
Candidate Engagement: Trigger personalized emails to candidates using Gmail or Mailchimp.
